| Buying a Membership
If you are thinking about buying a WorldMark membership, or adding credits to your existing membership, chances are you have a lot of questions about buying on the secondary market. Please don't hesitate to call us just to ask questions. Only you can decide when it is the right time for you to purchase a membership, but in the meantime, we have the information you need to make an informed buying decision.
We deal exclusively with WorldMark memberships, and we are happy to share our twelve years of experience with II, RCI, Bonus Time, Cruise-for-Credits, Vacation Escapes, International Tours, and more.
We only sell premier memberships. The WorldMark membership that you buy from PointBasedTimeshare is identical to the WorldMark membership you would purchase directly from the Trendwest sales site. This means that our memberships offer all of the same features and benefits. All WorldMark memberships we offer are in-perpetuity memberships that you can will to your heirs. You have full use of bonus time, and you have access to all future resorts, owner education classes, etc.
We don't throw in a free week vacation as an incentive to buy, and we don't pay for your first year of RCI (which is an optional program that you can sign up for on your own for less than $100 per year.) Other than that, you are buying the exact same membership, usually with "extra" banked credits, at a significant discount.
Currently at a sales site, you would pay $1.84 per annual credit. We are able to offer you these same credits for under $1.00. Because our inventory changes on a daily basis, we don't list our memberships on our website. We purchase memberships outright from WorldMark owners who need to sell their membership. Because we own these memberships, and have all the necessary documents on hand, your purchase can be handled quickly and easily, and we can have you all set to book your first vacation in as little as fourteen days!
While we are a separate company from Trendwest, we do work closely with them to facilitate a smooth, easy transfer of ownership.
